During the composition of various works of historical fiction I run across some rather interesting tidbits of history. Also, in researching some non-fiction projects, or just fiddling around as a generalist like myself is want to do, I encounter strange things in the historical record. Everything on this page is true, alleged true at the source, both, or a mixture of all the stuff that adds up to the human story, excluding straight fiction.
Like "A Sampler" section, I shall make a "weird fact" post each month. I begin with September. Comments? Just send me an e-mail.
