This is my revised website; it is still under construction (10/03/08). My plan is to bring it up to a full read and subscribe site, complete with a PayPal button for subscriptions.
Times are such, that a full-time writer always can use a gig, and it is about time this website starts pulling a bit of its weight!
But, just to express my thanks for checking in, I'm going to include (monthly) a short, original non-fiction work, yet unpublished. (please click on 'A Sampler' tab above or below.) If you want to give me a short-shot to the chops about it, e-mail me at irvingwarner@olympus.net for the time being. Don't be shy about it, many do, and I appreciate them. For your added pleasure, I've amended a "Monthly Weird facts" herein. Just click on it for a monthly view of genuine history. (these will be attributed)
For me, they major news is that Pleasure Boat Studio will be bringing out my collection of two trilogies (Crossing the Water) in a single volume. It will be composed mainly of the Hawaii Island Trilogy (2007-2008) and the "Alaska Trilogy" (aka The Lost Road Trilogy; 2000-2001). Between them will be a short story thematically bridging Alaska and Hawaii. I have just completed the preliminary draft of the 'bridge' story. (10/5/08)
There will be much hustle and bustle to bring this out in time for the 50th anniversary of the admission of Hawaii and Alaska to the Union (1959-2009).
During 9/2008 I began work on the novel I was born to write, The Travels of Saint Cuthwin , which is set in 11th century England and Europe. It is a work of historical satire--to apply a recognizable term to a work of futility and eccentricity. In all humility, I predict a day will come that when stories of Christian saints become topics of praise, my name instantly will dominate.
Cheers. IW , 10/05/2008
